Salvador Nares, DDS, PhD

Salvador Nares, DDS, PhD, is a periodontist who has been with our practice for the last two years. Dr. Nares has been the Chair, Department of Periodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry for the past 10 years. Dr. Nares received his DDS, PhD, and Certificate of Specialty in Periodontology from the Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M University, in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Nares completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Oral Infection and Immunity Branch of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research of the National Institutes of Health (NIDCR/NIH) in Bethesda.

Dr. Nares will now be spending more time in our office as we introduce a periodontal maintenance program. For periodontal patients who alternate their cleaning visits with other periodontal practices, we can now accommodate these patients so all dental/periodontal cleaning visits as well as needed periodontal procedures can be done in our office.
